I think i need to consider about the length also. If shooting on the fly maybe slightly more then 1/2 arm length?.

yah you are right about Pixel Knight. transiver + reciever = 220. I will look into that then consider the options this weekend.

Once you start doing off camera flash, you might want to go into lightstands (they are quite cheap actually) and light modifiers... With those things, it will be very hard to use flash cords.

Here is a primer on what a single light can do for you... just replace that studio strobe with a off camera flash... have fun!
