Flash question

Just got to try and try with some bit of read up on flash photography.
Even the pros 'cheat' with setup test shots and light meter readings, so its just the same with testing a shot or two and fudging :D

ya lor... go try later...
this time cannnot fail....
CEO coming from oversea.... but company don't want spent money... haha

Moonlightsg, let me give you a heads up. P-TTL is quite erratic, so be warned. Because of this P-TTL problems, I had thoughts of buying a Nikon D7000 but eventually dropped the idea due to several reasons. Now, I am trying to learn manual flash.

manual is fine....
the problem i face is bounce 1/16 is too weak for freeze the movement....
Bounce 1/1 is over until i can use F8, ISO 200 1/160 which mean no backgound....
i have to mod the deflactor to be biger and make it cure to bounce more light with 1/16

also another problem is the planning team choose purple/pink light.... not yellow/light blue/off-white...
if use weak bounce to fill flash... will have purple+pink skin colour.... like those commit suicide with not lighted gas stove...

I took this shot last week with K7+Metz 58AF2+FA*28-70mm.
Indoor daylight with high ceilling.
Bounce flash + Stofen diffuser.
Aperture: f3.5, Speed: 1/60 (-0.3EV), AV mode. ISO 400. Auto WB. Flash in PTTL mode.
In fact this is 2nd time using the Metz 58.

after reading i dun really understand the problem...:bsmilie:

anyway no advice from me until i see what the real problem...

in any case i have not encounter any problem with bounce flash...

pttl works ok... its not perfect but its good enough...

nikon ittl is better but not perfect either...

anyway i also dunno how u can shoot manual, not saying its not possible but things are always moving... nobody wait for you to adjust here and there...

anyway im not there to know whats happening... good luck
