Flash prob?

Hi guys, took some shots today with my 17-40mm and 580EX and strangely got some peculiar results that got me worried if it is my flash prob or lens or even my body prob. A test shot is shown below.

Took me quite a while before realising what caused this. Any idea why this is happening??

Was there a florescent lamp or some sort of ceiling decor when u bounced the flash?

From my exprience, there is some pattern or object on the ceiling which you are using for bounce flash from. I had similar exprience when bouncing flash off reflective ceiling in an amusement park ride before.

Aiya... this one's easy to guess ya. This was the cause of it all haha
