Tips to satisfy aesthetic appreciation:

intoxique,

Subject matter should be in sympathy with the what you want
the viewer to see. Here are some tips I have learned from
my mentors.

1. Since your subject is the flame; you have successfully create
images that show strength and clarity especially the close-up shots.

2, However you have to be more selective in including or
excluding other visual elements so that the viewer can identify
it as a well organised composition.

3. You have to throw out disturbing elements to achieve balance.

4, Your ability to control colour contrast, perspective of lines
should not be denied. Diagonal lines are dramatic with
correct positioning.

5. Abstracts sometimes reveal certain significance of your aim
in communication to the audiences. One aspect is to provide
visual ambiguities. However your representation of
visual ambiguities is not found in any of the pictures.

6. Remember you are providing guidelines to allow the viewer
to use his eyes to move within the frame smoothly and intelligently
to the destinated parts of the subject matter. Therefore you must
not allow the viewer to disconnect with unwanted elements as
in Picture 2, 8 & 9.

I know you will improve when you attempt the flame
again the second time, won't you?
