Is that normal?

My exif files always show:

Light source: Unknown
Flash: ON (Fill-in)

Of course, flash mode may differ but the main question is, can you see the flash model anywhere in exif? :dunno: I can't, which I think is strange. Why should the light source be unknown when it is an FL-50?

BTW, FL-50 is visible if I want to check for firmware update using Studio or Master sw, the flash seems to work, communication between camera and flash is also working as it supposed to; at least as far as I can see.

I just checked one photo file and it's marked similarly. It shows that the flash fired but it can't or doesn't identify which model it was. Considering the intelligence between the flash and the camera, it's a bit of a surprise that there isn't a lot of information available.

Same case here...

I'm also surprised that the Flash Compensation value is not shown either.

Tried several different EXIF Readers and the result is the same.
