Afterall it will be my stepping stone to DSLR cam.

shoot more, think more, look at more pictures from the pro and you will learn naturally tho slow at times while building up your own style of shooting/processing

Nice snapshots! I think for a first timer, quite acceptable lar. Take your time to learn and enjoy photography to its most!
