Welcome to the forum!

The union between the 7D and a 17-55 IS f/2.8 is a marriage made in heaven! The 17-55 lens is often associated with an "L" status lens because of its optical superiority. You will not be disappointed. :)

The only issue is that you wont be able to carry it over if you switch to Full Frame camera...other then that, its a pretty nice setup.

Welcome to CS . . . ;)

a good combi . . . nice choice. ;)

Welcome to CS! :)
7D + 17-55 is a good match-up

It is an expensive combo, that's all. Don't need to overspend when you first start out in this hobby. I would prefer to err on the cheap side... ;)

My friend started with that setup. Nothing wrong with it. She's pretty happy with it.

TS, you may want to get a 2nd hand one from B&S, there are quite a few 17-55 on sale now. :)

You guys are so friendly and efficient. Posted last nite and got so many replies.
