Superb!!!!

DA*50-135 is an extremely versatile lens due to the useful focal range, great focus accuracy, superb IQ and weathersealing. The silent SDM is merely icing on the cake..combined with the low-noise shutter of the K20D, it makes for an acoustically stealthy package.
I doubt if any Sigma currently available can even match it, let alone exceed it.

It's only weakness is the flaring (only in certain situations).

It very rarely comes off my camera these days.

What about the Tokina 50-135? I heard that its the same lens that Tokina made for Pentax but don't have the weather sealing and SDM! I had one for my D200 it the IQ was amazing

They co-design the optical part. The mechanical part is different. The lens is not made by Tokina for Pentax. Tokina doesn't make them in a Pentax mount. The Pentax lenses are manufactured in Vietnam and the Tokina lenses are manufactured in Japan.

Congrats and well done!

well, a little OT here.:bsmilie:

Nevertheless, under same price range, choosing original Pentax wont be wrong.

often, the MTF score is not enough to judge a lens, and the image quality is not only "sharp".:)

Hmmm unless we can get him to declare the package as a gift or declare the price as bellow SG$400 we can avoid the GST

I have bought many things in the past from international sellers using this and have had no problems
