personally i like ixus also....although I am a A40 user.

if u want compact, and night shots...i htink ixus can.

dunno why some of u here say night shots not good? the 15sec can take quite decent night shots isn;t it????
or is it i too newbie?

for me, i dun mind bulky and i need control so i go for A40.

actually most camera have auto mode...so even for manual camera i think they have also right? since u might want to explore more manual functions when u are free......think.... s40/45 is more suitable for u .
