A tad bit underexposed, but dang cute dog :D
Thx! ya hes cute =D. His name is lassi.

Btw i think its due to my LCD monitor. It looks ok over here. You think i should adjust my brightness and contrast or gamma on my LCD monitor?

congrats - u made the right choice for a first lens good and cheap

sry but i just had to give a few pointers
1. i think ur wb is a little off (try experimenting with different WBs)
2. with such a focus DOF try focusing more on the eyes (think the focus is a little off)

have fun with ur 350d
cheers

Yah thx!

1)For WB, i tried a few different wb but i find that i personally tend to lean towards warmer WB. Is there a rule about WB? Can share?
2)ok will try. cant really get use to looking thru the view finder only haha

First things first. Welcome to the world of DSLR.

For WB: It depends on what feeling do u want from your pics. Warm WB is cool but can u imagine if everyone in the pic looks like got sunburn? It also important if you want correct colour reproduction in your pics eg. Green is green and not blue.

For LCD: try to look at it at the same angle each time. (it's better now but sometimes the colour maybe brighter/darker at diff angles)

Try shooting lassi where it's brighter. Would like to see the white coat

Your first time with DSLR? Not bad at all. Good bokeh. Composition is  but would prefer to see his tail also (if any).
Well done!
