Filter step-up ring

I have quite a number of 58mm lenses and filters.
I have a few 49mm lenses.

If I use a filter step-up ring (49mm to 58mm), will there be dark corners on my photos taken using the 49mm lenses with 58mm filter (mounted using step-up ring).
