Filter on Canon 550d...

Hi all,

I am using canon 550d with 18-55mm kit lens.

I notice that the outer ring of the lens rotate when the camera try to focus. In this way if we put a CPL filter then we have to readjust the filter every time it re-focus? So normally people dun put CPL filter?

How about UV filter? do we have this issue also?

it doesnt affect UV filters.

Not all lens 's outer ring rotate when the camera try to focus.

Do agree that you can only adjust your CPL filter, after you had lock on to your focus, if your lens 's outer ring rotate when the camera try to focus

Quite similar to IR filter, where you will focus on your subject w/o putting on the filter first.
After you get your focus then you put on the IR filter
