Hi, i have recently bought myself a wide angle len for my Finepix S5500. Wanna ask whether to use filter len such as UV or Cir-Pl with the conversion len?
If they can be used together, should the filters place before the Conversion lens or after? Because i try putting it before the Conversion lens (as told by person who sold me the len), the vignetting problem is quite bad.

So you finally bought your conversion lens....which one did you buy and how much you got it for?

Hi i bought a Giottos Wide Angle (Macro) 0.5x from K13 @ Peninsula Plaza. Bought @ $90 including 55-58 step up ring. Is it expensive?

Not too sure...y didnt you choose the Olympus one,WCON?

The Olympus Wcon is very expensive, around $200+ for a brand new one probably. Anyway this wide angle lens that i bought is not bad also. Not much of vignetting problem, just the corners abit dark. Image produced is sharp. So are you getting your Tcon or Wcon? I had tried asking around in the Buy Sell forum, but all are either sold or selling too ex.

So anyone can help me?

I always keep my UV lens on for protection. Try

on the Fuji forum, you'll find some ideas on using your S5000.

And you can actually use the filter before the conversion lens but there will definitely be vignetting. You can check out this website for some ideas about attaching step-up rings in front of your conversion lens so that you can attach filters at the front.... I did one with my Fuji Telephoto lens..

Or the following website that is dedicated to your S5000, you'll find plenty of tips and tricks :)
