Film processing cost

Hi guys,
Does anyone knows the current fee to process a colour reversal film (example Velvia).
I was quoted $2per(36 x $2) pic + $10 processing fee at a neighbourhood printing shop.

You know any place with better rates and leadtime?

I'm guessing $2 per pic is for printing slides, its cheaper to get them scanned and print them as digital files.. of cos this somewhat defeats the purpose of using film in the first place..

Not really, i bring the scans home and tweak them to my own tastes then selectively print all at one go. :think:
