Hi..anyone knows how to achieve the filmy/ grainy effect like this photo?

Can't see the image.

BTW if you want to add sort of a simulated film grain. Filter->Artistic->Film Grain.

Of course if you want to make it look nicer, you have to do it in a different layer, then modify the grain using tools like guassian blur, etc...

fill with neutral (50%) gray
filter > add noise
change layer mode to overlay

or can simply "add noise"
but yes, doing it in layers is better but harder for a newbie

And adding a slight Gaussian blur to the noise layer make it a lot nicer.
