I use an Nikon f80 with a flash sync speed of 1/125s. Sometimes I wanna use fill-flash, so I pop the flash... and the camera is set automatically at 1/60s @ f whatever. I dont understand how is this possible when the camera meters the shot at 1/250s . Aperture is the same. Wouldnt 1/60s overexpose the image, with the flash worsening it ?
How is fill flash possible, with the limited flash sync speed, when most daylight shots are faster than 1/250s at f8.
