Breaking tradition…
Instead of lugging a heavy DSLR set for my Europe backpacking trip last year,
I chose a reliable camera that coupled with DSLR standard capabilities,
the Olympus EPL-1.

I am so pleased with the results/photos from my EPL-1 that I got hold of the latest EPL-2 and
immediately headed down to Putrajaya Malaysia for the 3rd Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon Fiesta.

Everybody is raving about the new dramatic art filter and its picture quality.
I decided to explore the art filter and test its abilities.

I adore hot-air balloons. It is the oldest human-carrying flight technology who has the capability to fly to extremely high altitudes and the balloons are vibrant in colors.

As excited as a kid, I went up-close and personal with the pilots and their balloons.

The camera with the kit lens (14-42mm) is very useful in this situation.
It allows me to take decent wide-angle shots and at the same time, I am able to zoom in,
thus capturing the balloons that were taking off around me at the field.

…………….The Olympus EPL-2, is my new bundle of joy...

thank you.

cool! i think not all the effects work out like the first pic in #3, but it shows how the effects can be used. I like the HDR-like last few pics.
