Minolta lenses are very good; there was a time when they designed lenses for Leica as well.

Minolta G lenses are (close to) as good as best of L lenes --- L lenses may have good or not so good ones for different price range, but every G lens is very good (not sure about sony version). now you can plus Zeiss into their side.
it was MF era when Minolta worked with Leica, toooo long ago.
it would be a dream team if Leica/Zeiss/Minolta/Sony work together to produce a set out:)
canon may feel great threat

Leica/Zeiss/Minolta/Sony work together may be good as it seems but if the price is rocket high how many can afford them.

maybe just once for anohter legend story for decades.: a body with a couple of lenses.

and an ultimate weapon to cool down Conon/Nikon fans in debate:)

Nope. The Minolta 70-210 f/4 AF lens, also called the "beercan" was designed for Leica. It was the 70-210 f/4 Leitz lens and works great on the A700 and A900.
