Hi All,

Just wanted to get a feel from all you professional / semi-professional / amateur-want-to-be-professional / newbie photographers who at some point in time did do a wedding photography for money / frendship / etc... What is your fav lens and most used lens during the event (night and/or day)?

How abt Tamron 17-50 f2.8? Is it good for wedding?

24-105 in a FF cam.

Or 35 f1.4 + 50 f1.2 + 85 f1.2.

17-40 F4...

then again, cos that's the only lens i have... :bsmilie:

17-55, and if have the money to burn, 35 1.4 or a 85 1.2 to chiong bokeh :D

17-40 f/4 L. No doubt about that. With this lens, I can obtain sharp pictures even at 1/8 sec without flash, because of the focal length and handling.

17-55mm the best for wedding. Relax and shoot.

Hmm... sounds like primes are greatly favoured for the weddings... however, might be hard to get some shots due to the restriction in zoom...

Btw, been noticing some mixed reviews of the 17-55dx on the various sites... questioning whether it is worth the price when the increase in quality does not commensurate linearly. Anyway, been using the d80 kit lens for shooting and just wanted to get a feel of how significant would the quality vary between the two. Any bad experiences with this lens? Sample variations?
