Faults when using S5000 or S7000 period time ?

According to my friends, When using S5000 or S7000 period time then It have faults with CCD. is that true ? Help me, I prepare to buy S5000 or S7000.

i don't think so....I've been using my S5000 for about 9 mths so far...no problem at all......

For comparison, my S602 (passed 10,000 shots and almost 2 years old), the LCD and EVF are both healthy and fine.
