These are some crazy details.

May I know if this is using some close-up extensions on the X100S or just using the Macro mode?

Nice series :)

Just happen to snap a shot of #58 recently

the praying mantis shots are awesome.

can you organise a walkabout during one of you macro trip? Am a x100s user also and really wish to learn from you!

Thank you, Bro snapsnapsnapsnap (Sry for the late reply, just got back from a 2 weeks holiday).
To be frank, I just got into macro when I purchased X100s 2 months back. Basically, there's nothing to learn from me, I just snap snap snap away with my X100s, no technique required. Just need to be observant to find the insects. :bsmilie:

Nice macro series ! Almost love them all. :) As I exploring into macro, may I know what flash method (manual or ttl) u use and any pp done? Where do u normally go for macro shooting.

Thanks! ;)
I am using manual mode on my Canon flash with my Fuji camera. Yes, I do perform pp (vignetting, composition, etc). But I can tell you, the JPEG straight-out-of-the-camera (SOOC) is pretty amazing.. not much to edit.
I usually go to Venus drive for macro. Lots of insects there.

Had my first taste of night macro-graphy last friday at Venus drive. Amazing! Lots of big spiders.
Lighting was very challenging for a beginner like me.
