Fake food photography at Promontory@Marina Bay
Date : Sat, 2 Oct 2010
Time : 8am sharp to 11.30am
Meet location : The Promontory@Marina Bay
Possible location for shoot : The Sail II condominium Clubhouse
We can use the outdoor marble benches at the promontory for the shoot or we can relocate to the Sail II Condo across the road for the shoot if the weather turns bad or if there is some spare clubhouse space to use. This cannot be confirmed as we have to try to see if it is available that day so no promises.
As we may be entering the Sail II, we need to limit the number of people to 20.
The shoot practice is to try and see if we can make something that looks like food using some other items. Then I can advise on how to light it in an attractive way.
The items do not have to be to scale.
One possible thing to fake is a piece of sushi on a plate.
I leave it up to your imagination on what we can make.
I have some japanese looking small plates to contribute.
Another variation would be use other food stuff to make the food, like using ice cream and some sugar beads to make a crab roe sushi lookalike.
Items to bring
Props for making the fake food stuff
DSLR
Flash
Tripod
Translucent umbrella ( Daiso ) or flash shoot through umbrella
Flash triggers if needed
Everyone is welcome even if they do not have the right equipment.
They can join the teams and share the equipment.
There is no price for this free outing as it is meant for everyone to share their skills.
Anyone who has feedback for me to improve the outing or other sheltered places please pm me.
