Earth is the only planet not named after a pagan God.

Actualy Earth is kinda based on the deity Gaia (coincidentally mean Mother Earth). :)

8 out of 10 people will attempt to do so after reading this.

OT: Actually, there are some people who are able to do it. Just that extremely few people can do it.

Back to topic:
Tigers have striped skin, not just striped fur.

Origin of Murphy's Law

n the early 1950s Dr. Paul Stapp M.D. (USAF) had begun experiments to explore deceleration and the limits of the human body. Stapp himself would strap himself into rocket sleds, accelerate to near mach 1 and then decelerate back to zero in mear seconds. In his last runs he would endure up to 47 G of deceleration.

During the project Stapp coined the phrase, "anything that can go wrong will go wrong," naming it Murphy's Law after a member of his team.

Stapp would go on to run the Man High program (the first to put a man over 100,000 feet) and the Excelsior program that culminated in the highest parachute jump when Joe Kittinger jumped from 102,000 feet on August 16, 1960.

Did you know that even God himself doesn't know whether the chicken comes first or the egg first?

Ok, here's a few more....

- Clinophobia is the fear of beds

- The hundred billionth crayon made by Crayola was Periwinkle Blue

- Many Japanese golfers carry "hole-in-one" insurance, because it is traditional in Japan to share one's good luck by sending gifts to all your friends when you get an "ace." The price for what the Japanese term an "albatross" can often reach $10,000

Fact: I can't. But part of my elbow is wet.

Fact 2: The dome of PJ2 can set my white balance better than a pringle cover.
