FA77 focusing ring stuck

My good ol' FA77 has succumbed to stuck focusing ring, it does aspin while in AF in a rough/slight grinding manner, but in MF (as well as detached from body), the ring does not allow further movement aside from 3mm left<-> right movement.

Any help with this and/or any lens repair+cleaning place recommended?

Send in to APD for service.

My FA31 did the same to me. It's slightly annoying but still functional. Do update if you are sending in for service on the cost and prognosis. Thanks!

Hi kof88,

A new on is about $800 for a good condition piece. Better off getting it repaired like most in here.

AFAIK, its about $3xx (same as mentioned by Felix)

Personally, I'd send it in.
$3xx is not really that much wrt the price of a new/used lens and you also have it checked and re-aligned.
