Hi there,

I was wondering if you could advise me on what the f-mount means. I use a Nikon D80 and I surf the buy/sell lenses forum alot :) ... I see alot of f-mount postings... just wondering if those actually fit my camera.

And... how about the premium brands like Leica... how do I know which lenses fit my camera?

Thanks.

Lens that are F-mount will fit on your d80... but not all functions are enabled.

F mount is designed by Nikon for Nikon use. If you have a Nikon D80, basically you can use almost all the F mount lenses with exception of the AI / AI-S lenses, those are MF (manual focus) and will not give metering with your model.

I dun think Leica makes any F mount though. ;)
