 Great shots taken with your fast lens ... They despict the mood and available lighting .... Most of the shots were taken without flash ? Excellent fill-in for some ...

Tim,

Good shots there, can really feel the "mood" of the event, gives me the feeling like I'm there in person. I like the ambient light shots of the lead singer, Faye, in your gallery. Nice.

Oh really ....care to share your flash settings .... I like most of your fill-in :) Your flash was not too harsh ... excellent control ..... or is it the camera ? .... :bsmilie:

Thanks, use M mode for the camera-almost wide open all the way, at ISO 1250. FEC on 550EX ranging from 0 to -2, depending on situation. (use the distance scale to make some judgement)

Thanks for sharing ... I will apply your settings on my EOS-3 and 550EX too :D BTW, I have shared your excellent fotos with some of my colleagues, who are crazy over F.I.R. ;p

A lot of ppl hates E-TTL but, just remember this... you need to know how E-TTL works as well, if you have a AF pt, it will compensate according to the area surrounding it-not a good idea sometimes, FEL can help but not practical, but using C.Fn 4-1 or 4-3 will help.

Nice colours and composition. Really brought out the mood. You handled the flash well, since Hard Rock is dimly lit. And thanks for sharing the articles oeyvind!

I was at West Mall yesterday. Really packed with youngersters! Will post some of my shots when they're ready.

Thanks Tim for the additional info ... I must try THAT CF setting .... I am a freelance actual day wedding photographer, so it's gonna be very useful :D

Will come back to you if I run into difficulties :bsmilie:

No worries, don't get back to me... me just a messenger not the originator of this info.

See the dpreview's thread, maybe ask there, and read between the lines for info.

aiyo, holding a pro body does not make anyone a pro leh, someone still need to set Tv, Av, etc., and to snap the shutter...

Anyway, thanks all for the comments.

P.S. More pix, this time from yesterday afternoon: http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=85175
