Depend on the lighting condition and situation.
You can try to shoot
ISO100, f22, 15secs to 30secs.

i'm using sony H2, not a dSLR. So does that mean i need to increase my shutter speed further to compensate?

Hmm...
Not sure what is the minimum aperture that the Sony H2 can go. If it can only go to f8, then you try.

ISO100, f8, 8secs.

Use a black card..when no cars you cover so that u dun over expose...when the cars come you open to get the trails...
