hey guys!
I just bought an Icase Dry Box

the silica beads are red colour when i opened it..

any experience on how to heat it?

Like Oven or Microwave and at what temperature? It doesn't state in the menu.. only says 1 min

also, aybody tried putting the white packing in the oven/microwave?

thanks guys!

just leave it in the microwave on medium.... i usually do it until the pink silica gel turns blue again. be careful when you take it out coz it gets pretty hot.

haha thanks man!

how about the white casing that holds the silica gel?

can i put the whole thing inside?

or am i supposed to remove the beads and put it on an aluminium foil?

Do you know the safety precautions of a microwave oven? sounds like you don't cook.

First, Microwave melts plastics (not all but most) and it produces toxic gas when that happens.

Secondly, Metals undergo reactions under microwave too... Foil could be dreadful. Strict no-no.

You need microwave safe materials, try finding microwave safe containers (like those food containers).

Also go for medium, not more than 4 minutes at once. Regulate things a little here, moderately and safely.

remove the white plastic casing.

used to keep my camera free from fungus this way... but, eventually went on to a dry cabinet as it saves a lot of trouble. (and a peace of mind too) :)
