Hello Clubsnappers (especially those in Brunei)! Just wanna announce an upcoming photo exhibit to be held next month:

PILIPINAS: The Travel Photography of Lester V. Ledesma
June 11-16, 2004

After six years of promoting the Philippines through countless articles in local and international publications, Filipino travel photojournalist Lester V. Ledesma takes his ASEANTA award-winning style of imagery to foreign shores - literally - as he holds his third one-man photography exhibit next month at the Sheraton Otama Hotel in the Kingdom of Brunei Darussalam.

Simply entitled "Pilipinas", this week-long exhibition showcases thirty stunning travel photographs of the Philippines, their diverse subjects ranging from antique houses in Vigan, to Ati-ati revelers in Kalibo and even the mysterious witch-doctors of Siquijor Island - all of them providing rare glimpses of life in the archipelago.

"Pilipinas" is billed as one of the highlights of the 1st Fiesta Filipino Food Festival, a soon-to-be annual celebration presented by the Philippine Embassy in Brunei, in partnership with the ASEAN office of the Philippine Department of Tourism. Scheduled on June 4 - 14, this event also features an exhibit of Filipino paintings, as well as live performances and cooking demos by Filipino artists and chefs.
