No, this has nothing to do with this ERP thingy.

I am so happy that the gahmen is implementing more ERPees. Because the traffic was too darn heavy and specially accumulating before and after tha gantries. With more gantries, the traffic will only accumulate at the extremeties of the express way. In the morning you will hear : "and now the traffic on grass 65, the highways are all clear but massive jams in Tuas, Changi, Woodlands and CBD Zone". The empress ways wil finally be free!

You cannot imagine what an ERP can bring into one's life !

For instance this morning, as I wanted to go to the bathroom the door was locked as my daughter was in the shower ! I say: "Hey cannot lah ! I am the breadwinner here ! Must go die die to office". Then I thought, what If I had my own ERP on the washroom door. It would be priority to who has the money to pay ! The brrrrrreadwinner !!!! ME!!!! No more late to leave the house ! It would be : Thank you .....ERP:heart::lovegrin:

And thinking that the other day, I came home early and my wife was into bed with her lover. If I have had an ERP at hand, I would have implemented it immediatly. That ******* would have tought twice before coming and visiting my beloved one and at least if he had the money I reaped some benefits. ERP ! MMMM  there is huge biz opportunities in Geylang.

No really, I cannot live anymore without one. I also want an ERP ??? In fact many ! One for the fridge door, one for the toilet door, one for my hi Fi room....

Where can I get one????????

But the day that hotel 81's room becomes cheaper then the accumulated ERPs , I sleep in town and see my family during the WE.

:bsmilie::bsmilie:

U are showing signs of mental illness. Please kindly consult ur nearest doctor. :)

Of course, doctor fee oso went up :D Song Boh ?

bwahahahah..... I was thinking you were kidding but I have this scary notion that you are not! haaaaaaaa........

good one man!.

Loupisk,
You are a genius

bro Static,
Doctor also implement ERP what ;)

There will be a new department at NUS medical centre to treat Erpphobia and Erpmania. At night, people would get delusions that they are being charged ERP the minute they step out of their bed :bsmilie:, wherever they walk they'll hear that familiar BEEP and they will yell and scream with pain.

ok, i am going bonkers too.

But, the live in Geylang and visit family on weekends sounds pretty cool (maybe even sublet the room when go to work :bsmilie:)

Now scrapping the idea of getting a car. I can live with our public transport for the time being.

Cars are nothing but trouble......pay road tax, ERPs, parking, insurance, accidents, TP fines, theft, and so on........I don't see a point of getting a car unless if you are in sales(travel a lot)

How can! Road transport infrastructure must be FREE! How dare the government charge road tax and ERP to road users????? After all, aren't we doing our employers a FAVOUR by even showing up for work? Surely all Singapoireans should be willing to tolerate the consequences of increasing road use?? What's the use of green spaces and parks if the block the development of roads and people can't even go to work! Those people complaining about CO2 emmissions and pollution should just shut up.

How dare they make us pay, the 30% of households that drive cars! We are the engines of the economy. Government funds MUST be used for road construction, parking lots etc, if there is less for education, healthcare, TOO BAD!

This is so awful, this ERP increase......if I add it all up, it might come up to almost $60 a month more! OMG, that's almost 1 tank of petrol!!! Looks like when I next go to dinner with the missus I need to pass up on the Heineken.

What on earth are the g-ment thinking!!!!!

This morning I saw the need for a few more ERP gantries  - one on Lavender street towards Victoria Street (before the traffic intersection), one on Victoria Street just before the ICA building and another one somewhere around there and yet another one somewhere around there too. There were too many cars along that stretch of roads. They need to be regulated.

If I live in Seletar airbase for instance ! Because I am a helicopeter that uses his car to go to work in the CBD zone everybay. Yes, I know, I am an old helicopter that cannot fly meh !;)

I go through 3 ERP, two on CTE and one in the CBD on the way in. This can add up to +/- 6 SGD on peak hours.

On the way back to Seletar it can add up to 2-3 Sgd with the new gantry into action.

Let's take an average price of 7 SGd per day of work. With 22 days of work, it sums up to 154 SGD. At the year end it is 1848 SGD that you paid.

That is a bit more than a simple heineken at the restaurant. With that you can afford the food and maybe after a little something for the little lady. Nope?

I guess that the communicaton stress should not be on the ease of the traffic bacause everybody knows that it will not solve much in fact, but rather on the cost of improving the road system like the KPE that is coming up and which is a great achievement !

That, I think the people can understand better.

Thinking about it, it is the lower wages that cannot afford to live in the city center that will pay the higher cost.

What has that got to do with building more ERP gantries ? ;) If the traffic needs to be regulated, it needs to be regulated. Period.

Your feedback is gladly accepted and we will feed it back to you. :bsmilie: Your car will be monitored and we will put in additional charges when your car passes through the gantries. :bsmilie:

PS : I was kidding lah, about my previous post. Didn't I sound like someone incharge of implementing the ERP system ?

No one is answering for free stuff but seriously check out the jam at 6.30am... does it solve anything?

Its a no win situation.

You drive, you pay ERP till your nose bleed. Hey 100 over bucks a month is not a small amount too. You dont want to pay ERP, you end up going to work and reaching there before 730am when you start work at 9am and leaving for home at 10 to 11pm. Seriously... is that the way to live?

You dont drive, you get squashed into public transport like sardines. Literally back to back with passenger next to you. Just check out buses and MRTs from 5.30 to 9pm. and 6am to 9am.

It is not about the paying and paying, it is about paying and paying and things still remain as shitty as before. SIgh but what to do.... no matter what we say, we are labelled whiners and our govt just tell us you must pay and pay more and give you a thousand and one reasons why you must pay and pay.

I sincerely implore our leaders to take public transport like us for once and drive their cars in peak hours without their motorcade to clear traffic and also to pretend their pay is not 5 digit where 100 over dollars each month is peanuts to them but the average pay of 2 to 3 thousand dollars which is used to feed family, pay bills, insurance etc. And understand that we are suffering from the never ending price hikes ever since the last election in which we renewed their mandate to rule. We are really really suffering....
