EV and stop

Hi guys,

Is 1.0 EV step the same as one stop?

If I compensate +1.0EV, is it the same as I manually set my camera overexpose by 2 dials in F80 (1/2 EV step)?

+1EV = OverExpose 1 Stop... so Yeap too
