Esplanade & Merlion

Hi all,

A few more shots to share. Taken over the weekend and first time shooting the Esplanade and Merlion. Comments good or bad are welcomed and appreciated.

Both shots were taken using Canon EOS 300D,Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 (Kit Lens)

Nice pictures, especially the Merlion. Btw, did you use any filter? The pictures look blur but nice.

#1 looks nice a sharp. Good work.

Some suggestions : try to place the waterline on either the top or bottom 1/3 of the frame. The picture will look more pleasing to the eye that way.

Also, if you take the shot around 7ish, within half hour of sunset, you'll get brilliant colors in the sky as well.

Sharp and nice photos.

However, they're a bit underexposed, especially the 2nd pic. Try setting a longer exposure time.

#1 shot nice, would prefers the front area be given a tighter crop so more concentration will be focus on buildings. ...
