From Canon Rumors:

Canon EOS M5 known specifications:
24.2mp (80D sensor or some variant, we’re 90% sure on this)
Built-in electronic viewfinder
A new AF system (Could be the best new feature of the EOS M line)
A more classical camera design, more in line with Fuji or Olympus
EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM coming alongside the new body
September 15, 2016 announcement (We’re 90% sure on this)

Wow my M3 still less than a year!!!

Where M4?

There... the M4's specs is in the OP's post what. Just that it's called a 5. It's a 4 but called a 5.

the design looks like Olympus E-M1... :D

Hmmm.... does this mean that that the Canon 5D Mark FOUR is doomed?
I'm not an expert, but maybe the '5' in front mitigates the effects there.

so weird that their top series hv the 4 in it

Was thinking it would pair up well with those manual, fast primes from the likes of Samyang and Mitakon. :)

Sony a6300 raised the bar high in apsc mirrorless, canon now left behind in video department.

Not true in real world shooting. See here.

Many companies offer 4K even though the technology is not ready for it. Canon decides not to implement it in consumer products as long as it is not working properly. Reputation is at stake here.

How dare you coming with real world examples into the sterile world of gear heads and fan boys where only numbers and specs matter [emoji1]

Being conservative is not a good sign in this era of technology. 5DM2 was successful one when Canon took the leap in video. 😀
