OK, the EOS 33 has three logos for its metering modes.

1. Empty frame - Evaluative

2. Dot in the middle with brackets at the top and bottom it - Center weighted

3. Brackets without the dot in the middle - Partial Metering

Am I correct? Because my friend owns the 33, and the manual says 1. is center weighted, while 2. is Evaluative. I have a feeling its a typo. Thank you.

Please note that I'm a Nikon user, and the exact same symbol as stated in 2. is CW in both my D70 and F801.

On EOS bodies...

(•) Evaluative
( ) Partial
NOTHING Center-weighted
• Spot

Thanks for your clarification. :) Anyway, why does Canon have to be so confusing? I mean, (o) just makes more sense as CW metering than an empty frame...:)

Dude, it will do you some good if you take some time and RTFM.

Yeah I guess so. Thanks again. :)
