A NIKON NATURE OUTING ORGANISED BY CLUBSNAP, NATURE PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY SINGAPORE, AVIAN WATCH ASIA, AND NIKON USER FORUM​

For the first time in Singapore, 4 photographic communities are putting their hands together to present “Embracing Nature 2006” an outing that brings together nature lovers and photographers (from veteran to newbie) together to interact and have fun.

This event is open to all Nikon users (SLR/DSLR users as well as Nikon Prosumer Digicam users who are thinking of upgrading to SLR/DSLR) and potential Nikon users (those who may be planning to switch to Nikon). Due to the limited availability of places, priority will be given to Nikon users. All non Nikon users will be placed on the reserve list first.

A major highlight of this outing will be a talk on the use of Digiscopes, a viable and popular alternative in nature appreciation and photography.

A team of accomplished nature photographers from Clubsnap, Nature Photographic Society, Avian Watch Asia and Nikon User Forum will be at hand to guide participants.

Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve (SBWR)

Fees :
S$5 ea - This will cover the entry fee to SBWR, bottled mineral water for all participants and help defray some administrative costs.

What Do You Get :

• Meet new friends, interact, give and receive advice, and gather knowledge on Nature Photography .
• Opportunity to have hands-on experience with the latest as well as some expensive Nikon equipment; something you will not have the chance to do even in shops.
• Two-way transport between Khatib MRT and Sg Buloh
• 2 x Bottled Water
• Snack lunch
• Half a day of fun

Details :

Programme :
7.00am - Meet at Khatib MRT. Bus will leave for SBWR at 7.05am sharp!
7.30am – Registration
7.35am to 12noon – Photo shoot, familiarization, sharing of tips etc at the various stations set-up in Sg Buloh.
12noon to 12.30pm – Lunch and Talkshop
12.30pm to 1.30pm - Introduction to Digiscopes and Digiscoping by Ashley Ng.
1.30pm to 2.00pm - Q&A session on nature photography/equipment.

Nikon Digiscopes, camera bodies, lens and accessories will be available for the hands-on sessions.

What to Bring :

• A must wake up early attitude (remember, the bus will leave Khatib MRT at 7.05am sharp),
• Mosquito repellant.
• CF card(s)
• A heart of love for nature
• ....and plenty of smiles

Advisable to bring, if not at least CF card, as the eqpt are for all to have a first hand experience. There will not be a case of an equipment assigned to a participant throughout.
