very sad

The photographers seems to be in a better position than the snipers?? They can often take pictures of the killer without gun on his hand!!
Update picture you can see the face of the hostage, perhaps last picture in their lifes.

It drove me crazy when see Filipino's SWAT team use the big hammer to hung more than 10 time for 2 holes in the windows. What's that for? Tell the terrorist that the operation would be soon started? A M-16 auto-rifle can kill all the hostages within that minute...

i felt so so terrible sorry for the families... speechless.

the sniper should shoot the gunman down before he starts to shoot people...

This was the worst hostage rescue mission I've ever seen in my whole life. Totally unprofessional!

If they had a clear shot they should have taken it! Were they getting soft and overly hopeful of a peaceful resolution? What was the idiotic hostage taker thinking, that he could get reinstated by holding up a bus? :thumbsd:

yea, should have sniped him down ASAP... dunno what dumb rescue plan was that... go smash windows for what... and so many police squatting down dunno for wad... :dunno:

Reports says that it took the commandos nearly 1 hour to break those windows...:dunno:

before they eventually storm up the bus.

looking at the tv news, the police had so many chance to take down the gunman. they had clear line of sight in bright day light & the gunman's hands were not even on the M16!!!

like they dont know how tough the reinforced windows of coach are?:dunno: very stupid of them.

this remind of the rescue mission provided by the indian elite forces at the terror attack on Mumbai.......TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL.............................................

Ya lor, imagine if the hostage taker had a grenade in his pocket and he tossed it to the side of the bus at that time while so many of the swat were squatting there for so long...

The elite strike team was located in another state and had to be flown in to Mumbai. And that took a while. What we see on TV are the local authorities trying to contain the terrorist.

Once the elite forces arrived, the terrorist were neutralized fairly quickly. This was told by my indian colleague.

Actually these two negoiators could have taken him down earlier as his AR16 was by
his side and their close promity to him could gave them the chance to do so.Sad to say
they did not take the opportunity.

Just becos he was a former colleague, they went easy going on him. Judgement and instincts could have been severely impaired.
For that, they will have to reflect on the 'what ifs' for the rest of their lives.
