Very good DOF setting, great lighting, nice pose (like one of those Royal Guards standing to attention) - what more could you ask for eh?

Looks like you were very close to the ground for this one - if you could have gone even lower (possible?) and made bird against a totally dark background, maybe make the pic even more dramatic.

Agree with Darren's comments, in addition, I would suggest you to move a little to the right for a slightly more frontal shot if possible. Good effort!!
