:thumbsup::think:

cool!

hows the distortion like on 10mm?

btw... if u removed the EF-S baffle, can you still put it back later? or its permanent "damage"?

hmm since EFS lens are build in a way, the rear lens element is nearer to the body... when fix on 5DMKII, will it cause mirror clearance issue for 10 - 22mm range?

this is interesting, can i mod my efs 17-55mm F2.8 IS too and use it on my 5Dmk2, it should have a good fight with 16-35L F2.8 and 24-70L F2.8.

u can try... ;p the theory should be the same... just remove the EF-S baffle.

but do it at your own risk! :sweatsm:

haha, agree, a bit risky too.

maybe i should try on 18-55mm IS first.

but if 10-22mm must set to 22mm and pull out the EF-S baffle with your finger...

then 18-55 must set to which focal length to pull out?

maybe 55? i read from one of the links i posted above. as long as the rear lens move away deep in, i think it is fine to pull out the EFS baffle.

the 1st image is 10mm on 5D2, 2nd is the cropped...

you easily snap it back, no dame done on the baffle...

if you use live view, you can use 10mm. if not, you need to start from 12mm...

Found this link, hope you dun mind i share this:

from the links above... seems like both uses 12mm instead of 10mm cos it will face mirror clearance issue. Just wondering how u manage to shoot at 10mm?
*same as my 3rd reply*

17mm of 17-55 will have a vignetting similar to 10-22 @ 10mm on 5D2. may be usable from ~35mm(?)...

Hmm, very interesting and thanks for posting your various samples!

more field sample images will be postponed due to not so good weather this morning...

How much force do you apply to pull the baffle out? Seems fairly "solid". Reading some of the links Sinned79 posted, seems like some people have broken the plastic baffle when they've tried removing it. Are you able to put the baffle back in?

very light, even a kid can pull out easily...
