After purchasing EC-14, I have decided to buy EX-25 to unleash the full potential of my kit lens.

Below are the result of my experiment.

Extension tubes are designed to enable a lens to focus closer than its normal set minimum focusing distance. Getting closer has the effect of magnifying your subject (making it appear larger in the viewfinder and in your pictures). They are exceptionally useful for macro photography, enabling you to convert almost any lens into a macro lens at a fraction of the cost while maintaining its original optical quality.

The pics are excellent. one question:

how close can you get with the ex-25 with 14-45 & 40-150 at max zoom?

They were taken a few centimeters away.

do u lose AF? or have to MF?

How much did you pay for your TC14 and EX25? Pretty cool stuff.

MF and AF.

MF on the zoom part this where the distance between the subject and the lens is concern. AF for the fine focusing. Is abit complicated but it works.

I bought the TC14 in HK for about S$680 and ex25 in Singapore for about S$250.
