Dynax 7 Retail Price

Hi Fellow Minoltans,

Can any (1st hand) Dynax 7 owners tell me roughly at what price they bought it at? And if you have the VC-7 handgrip, how much did you buy it for?

I'm bidding for these two beauties over at Ebay after a futile search of the usual suspects (CP, AP, MS) in Singapore, so I need to know if it's overpriced.

FYI, Adorama and BHPhoto seem to be the cheapest options for new Dyanx 7s (US$399.95 for Maxxum 7, and US$179.95 for VC-7) on the web. Plus shipping, that's just over S$1k. A bit reluctant to spend that much. :what:

Anyone know where these are still on sale in Singapore?

Or thinking of selling theirs?

This price is much cheaper than you can find in Singapore. Vivien and ileaf bought their Maxxum 7 from Adorama recently..

China is selling the upgrade version of 7 at a lower price (I guess) if you're comfortable with.

Wrong ..... China Upgrade version of 7 seems to be more expensive ;P ..... BTW, I will most probably be going to China to jalan jalan ..... u want buy things?

This price is much cheaper than you can find in Singapore. Vivien and ileaf bought their Maxxum 7 from Adorama recently..

Just to correct, we bought it fr B & H. Paid abt S$780, inclusive of shipping, insurance + GST. Really cheap, cos CP is selling abt $1200+!

VC-7 is out of stock nationwide currently. According to AP & MS, stock will be coming in end of July. They are selling it for abt $245.

Went snooping around Peninsular last Saturday and here's what I got quoted.

2nd hand: S$880
New (CP) : S$1400 :bigeyes: There's a new set in CP, btw.

Looks like B&H's the way to go.

Btw, is your Maxxum 7 a QD version? (Is there even such a thing as a QD and non-QD Maxxum 7?)

CP was terribly unhelpful concerning the VC-7.
CP: "We don't have it."
Me: "Out of stock?"
CP: "Yes."
Me: "So, erm, when will it be in stock?"
CP: "Dunno."

Good grief, is that blatant anti-Minolta bias or what?

Anyway, looks like vivien's right. No VC-7 to be found anywhere.

CP quoted me $1200+ via their e-quote. I've actually placed an order with AP, will let you know if vc-7 comes in.

just note that if you can get a MO for any items from B&H, the shipping cost will be much cheaper as it'll be shared.

BTW, I asked viv, coz the CP guy was quick to emphasize that his set was a QD model. Wanted to compare apple to oren.

Maybe that justifies the *ahem* inflated price. :bigeyes:

AP = Alex Photo in this case. Alan Photo is in SLS.

LOL...I spent $50 more for the QD version of 800si. Haven't used it before.....can't justify the $50 spent :cry:
