Dust inside lens

I just noticed that there are some white dots inside my lens. Just wondered how do the dust particles get INSIDE the lens (between the elements) itself?

probably via your zoom tubes? or from the sides of your front element (like the 10-22)

Maybe they were already inside, just at different positions? Before you ask how to remove please search here for the topic and read. Comes about once per week.

Because the interior of the lens is not air tight? Even for prime lenses dust can go in.
