To DLSR users, I am still wondering this question: is the DSLR sensor important because of its capability in capturing sharp images and colour saturation? Then the lens is not that important anymore? Or now that the DSLR users have to consider both the lens and the camera sensors?

:dunno:

both of them. remember the primary function of the lens - to focus the image to be shot. the sensor is how the camera converts light to your image.

The sensor is just part of the chain in the digital workflow. Lenses, processing algorithm, metering and everything else matters to different extent, but they still play a part in affecting the outcome. If the sensor used is the only consideration for choosing a digital camera, I guess we'll all be using Sigma digital cameras with the Fovean sensor... ;)
