wanna know DSC***** format file are of what band of camara? it is like for panasonic, it would be 'P*********'. DSC is for what? sony? cos i last time use sony but stop for a long time liao. tks for the help

KM is what cam?

sony i think is DSC also, cos my ex-cam some 3years ago is using this extension

KM = Konica Minolta

well, i think that DSC is more like a universal filename tag something like EXIF which is used by a number of camera makers.

From what I observed: Sony uses DSC***, Fujifilm DSCF***, Canon IMG***

ya, i was lookin thru all my pix taken since my sony day:confused: 4years back. then saw the difference cos in between there are also pix by canon

DSC is the abbreviation of a Japanese body which standardize digital media stuff... that's all I could remember. So back to original question, that naming convention is used by a few Japanese digicam manufacturer, as some has already mentioned.

i thought DSC stands for digital still camera? :dunno:
