How many of you keep your dslr in dry cabinets?

From the forum search i found out that fungus would grow on your lens, any other way to prevent it? or any other effects of not getting a dry cabinet?

use it ever day or 2...

#1, if you camera cost 1.5k, a smallest dry cabinet only cost around $99.00, is less then 10% of your camera cost, and can use for many years.
#2, if you send your camera and lens for fungus cleaning, it will cost more than $99.00.
#3, you may only use your camera once a week, the rest of the time you need to keep the camera away for fungus growing environment, your best bid is dry cabinet.
#4, if you use silica gel plus dry box, either you "cook" and reuse the gel or keep buying new gel, in long run, dry cabinet is still the best choice for economical and conveniences.

just buy a dry cabinet, this is the best investment and protection for your cameras and lense you can get.
