Guys I m thinking of investing into a M43 camera soon and pretty sure I would get the GF3 else if budget allows the newer GF5 but before I get it I am interested in seeking seniors advice on whether I must buy a dry cabinet and if no what would be my alternative?

A dry cabinet is like an insurance. It keeps fungus away.

However if you do not have a lot of equipment (more than a body and 3 lenses), if you keep your equipment in an aircon room, use it at least once a month, not stored in a dark cupboard, then I guess not.

Once fungus starts, it's very hard to get rid of them. Fungus eats away the lens coating and even the glass i.e. permanent damage.

Thanks everyone.

its like asking "do i need to send my 1000cc car for a car wash like the larger cars ?"

yes you do
