recently i has purchased a dry box for my DSLR. i put some silica gel in it and after a day or two, the humidity drop to 30% and below. i understand that the optimal percentage is around 40-50%. is there any bad if it is too dry?

Yep, there must be. Otherwise all manuals would not state a recommended humidity range for storage. Some say rubber might lose it's elastic features, others say the lubricants in the mechanical parts might dry. Very dry air also can lead to electrostatic charges. But don't panic, the side effects don't kick in overnight. Reduce the silica a bit to get into the recommended range.

ok thx you alot, every night i open so it come to 60%
then overnight it reduce to 40
that optimum :D
