Although Mr_Jason was able to capture the ambient lighting, you managed to make the subject stand out with your flash..... Nice shots

Nice exposures .....

It seems that some amount of PS (smoothening or blurring) is done on all the models but not the last pic :D . Quite obvious on the 5th one though. :)

Hi Geoyip

After seeing so many posts on the recent Race Queens..I must certainly say yours are the best I seen so far. The subjects are indeed well exposure despite the tricky lighting. Well done, what is your settings for most of the shots? Thanks

Some of the best yet! Love the cleaves! Wish I thought of that!

Too much PS blur on Esther's face (Blaupunkt girl). Shiho's skin color a bit strange.

Robert

wah nice and sharp.. just the right amount of flash

Great shots! My favorite one is the 4th picture. May I know what are your settings for shutter, aperture and flash?

One of the best series I had seen so far!

Good skin tone! Bounced Flash or - 2 FEC?

# 7 pic proves another thing...
less doesn't mean it's better...heehee

Thanks for the comments,

Was shoting with D70 and brand new 70-200 VR - Second time using this lens, I love this lens :) only thing now much poorer :(

Here's the settings for those who want to now:

Pic 01: F2.8 1/160sec 70mm
Pic 02: F2.8 1/200sec 70mm
Pic 03: F2.8 1/200sec 75mm
Pic 04: F2.8 1/200sec 125mm
Pic 05: F2.8 1/200sec 70mm
Pic 06: F3.5 1/200sec 86mm
Pic 07: F3.5 1/250sec 200mm

If i remember corrently, Flash was set to -0.3 EV and pointed direct. Had tried to angle flash head at 45 deg but pics came out under expose

Hi Wheels n r52lanc,

After looking at it again, u guys are right, Gosh I think really did over do the soft filter in PS ! Thanks for the input :)

Have Tone Down quite abit ... how is it now?

Maybe the images are still in my cache. Esther's face still looks like rubber. Poor Esther :( .

The Race Queens have great skin. No need for blur. Just light sharpening.

I went on Friday with 24-70mm f2.8L lens on my Canon 10D. Still many dark shots and bad focus. Widest aperture no good la! So went again on Sunday switched to 50mm f1.4. Missed the zoom but much better shots. Nice bokeh!

No blur applied to this very fine Aussie! We love Australia!

WOW! You brought your 70-200mm VR there and flash light must be SB800? So sad for myself as I didn't bring it to shoot but another low grade lens of 24-200mm for fun shooting .. :(

Esther still looks good even using camera phone to shot :)

Ya its quite hard to shot without Flash. BTW I like your shot, skin tone much more natural, u have more to share?

Yes, shoting with SB 800. You mean the 24 -120 isit? heard this is also a pretty good lens, wanted to trade kit lens with this but decided to go for 70-200.
