Bokeh effect very prominent.

All 3 pics are taken from almost the same angle. Tried to approached the dragonflies from different angles and to capture different perspective but to no avail.

did you use a close-up lens for the shots? Using a close-up lens will usually reduce the DOF significantly.
 

No. Just use the built in macro mode.
 

Hmm.. ur pic quite nosiy... esp the dragonfly ones. Did you use a high ISO ?
 

The pics are at ISO 80 equivalent with satuaration set to high. I noticed that in dimmer light/shade, some of my pics turned out noisy. Is there something that I could do to reduce it?
 

Weird.. ISO80 shouldn't have that much...

Use some noise reduction program online to fix the image.
 

yup, pics tend to be noiser under dimmer conditions. if it were darker, the camera's noise reduction would kick in.
