Doves of Singapore

These are the 5 Doves that can be found in Singapore.

(1) Spotted Dove and (2) Peaceful (Zebra) Doves are the 2 most common in Singapore. (3) Rose-collared Dove is slightly more uncommon, but easy to spot because they wander around in the open

(4) Emerald Dove and (5) Jambu Fruit Dove are more difficult to find. Emerald is a ground skulker while the Jambu is up in trees.

Nice pics! By the way, how do you distinguish between a dove and a pigeon? Is there a difference? Am I blind? :think:

Nice photos and info! For the first two, I only know them as cuckoo bird, as they make the koo koo sound. :embrass: Didn't know they are doves. ;p

I've seen quite a large population of Rose-collared Dove in the eastern part of Singapore.
