Hi all,

I hope to find out what is wrong with my S1 IS. Whenever I take pictures in strong light, blurry "dots" appear in my images. They appear everytime at the same positions. I have tried cleaning the lens but that doesn't help; in fact the lenses are very clean. In less lighted ares, this problem doesn't arise.

Here are some sample images with the blurry "dots". They appear to the left of the picture. Pls help, thanks!

I suppose they are dust on the CCD? Not sure how to clean for S1 IS, but for DSLR, you can try to blow away the dust with a blower.

Nope not dirt on the LCD.
Don't know what it is but sure looks strange.

release, if you look at the photo, there are big blobs just to the left of the dome that are perhaps around 50 pixels diameter. Doesn't look like flare either.

hmm send back to centre ....

release talking about CCD....another russ talking about LCD.... wonder is russ replying directly or see wrongly or type wrongly? :D
